Remember the Source

Hey Beautiful!
I just wanted to check in and see how you are doing.  Are you stayed prayed up during this unprecedented time?  Are you feeling overwhelmed because of the uncertainty that we are facing?

I must be honest and say that I’ve had a moment or two of feeling overwhelmed with the current time that we are in.  I had to honestly ask myself why and sit with that answer because I needed peace.  I needed to let God know what I was experiencing so that He can give me some guidance and clarity.  So, I went to journal and was shocked at what I was writing and received.

I realized that I was feeling overwhelmed because nothing about this situation is anything that I can control.  No matter how much you do to make the necessary preparations, there is nothing that I can do in order to make my kids or family feel like things are still normal.  There is nothing normal about your kids not being able to go to school to see their friends.  There is nothing normal about not being able to come and go when you want.  There is nothing normal about not being able to connect with family and friends.

But, what I do know is normal is that God has everything under control!  He has us in the midst of the isolation and separation.  He has us in a season of learning to trust Him no matter what is going on in the world.  So you see, although, we don’t have life as we once knew it, we still have God and that should be enough.  When is the last time you talked to God like we would connect with family and friends?

Today, shift your mind from isolation and separation to gratitude and give thanks for the quiet time.  Give thanks for this time to reconnect with the source.  Give thanks for still being alive and given a chance to believe in something greater than our own comforts.

Beautiful, I love you and I am grateful for you! Find the peace within this situation and believe in something greater.  Find your beautiful despite the circumstance!

Sit in Silence

Hi, Beautiful!

There is so much going in our head that we are often left trying to do anything and everything to figure it out. We cause ourselves to worry because our plan is not working and we are getting frustrated. We are looking at our life and wondering why things are not lined up with the vision. We wonder what we are doing wrong because we don’t have the success that we see and desire.

Well, have you ever wondered what it would be like to just sit and wait? What if the answer is there in front of us but because we can’t silence the chaos within or around us we can’t hear the instruction.

Instead of mapping our your ideas and plan, just sit! Sit in the silence have have the patience to wait! Trust me, I know it’s hard to be still but what other option do you have at this point? Do you want to continue stressing yourself out or do you want to release and wait?

On this Freedom Friday, sit in the silence and find the patience to wait! It’s all worth in end the end. You just have to be still.

The Power of Resistance

Hi, Beautiful!

Have you ever sat and reflected on what you are currently facing?  Have you heard the whisper from God about your assignment and felt like He can’t possibly be calling you to that?  Have you ever felt that you can’t possibly bear this too?

When there is an assignment on our lives, God will use the trials to direct us to our calling and purpose.  The pain that we experience is used to help someone who will cross our paths in the future.  But, it’s when we try to run from that calling that our fear tells us that we can’t possibly do it.  But Beautiful, when there is an assignment, nothing else will work until we are walking in that calling.  That’s the power of resistance!

The power of resistance comes to show us that total surrender is required.  And no I’m not talking about surrendering in that we continue to allow others to hurt us but surrendering to God and the reason why we were created.  You can’t try and control the situation as nothing but total reliance on Him is required.  I know it doesn’t feel good when we are going through but it’s His plan.  It’s His power within us that supersedes all the pain and hurt that we experience.  It’s His plan that will keep us from running!  It’s His plan that will show us when WE need to change.

Perhaps, our character is off!  Perhaps, we have fear!  Perhaps, we aren’t walking in love!  Whatever it is, God will show us as we can’t run from our purpose.  We can’t fight the resistance that the calling has on our lives.

So Beautiful, stop fighting the voices that say you are not enough or will never measure up!  Stop fighting that gut instinct you have and accept that you are called for a greater purpose!  Stop fighting the resistance and accept that you have the strength to keep moving!  You were not designed to give up!

keep going

But, what does God say?

Hi, Beautiful!

Happy Friday!  It’s Freedom Friday and you made it through another week despite what you thought.  God is so awesome in that he gives us the strength needed moment by moment.

You’ve had doubts!  You’ve questioned your abilities!  You questioned your faith!  Your mind said you are not enough!  (Maybe that was just mine) Your heart said stop loving!  You were run by fear!  Your mind said so many things!  But, did you ever stop and say….

what does god sayBeautiful, God says:

  • You are equipped Eph. 2:10
  • You are worthy Psalm 139:13-14
  • You are enough 2 Cor 12:9-10
  • You are accepted Heb 12:6
  • You are never alone Deu 31:6, Heb 13:5
  • You can do all things Phip 4:13
  • You are forgiven Rom 8:1
  • He will direct your steps Prov 3:5-6
  • He will give you rest Matt 11:28-30

During those moments of doubting who you are and what you are going through, remember what God says!  Trust me, He made no mistake when He created and this too shall pass!  Keep standing strong, Beautiful!  Fly, Beautiful Butterfly, Fly!

Toot your own horn!

Hey Beautiful! What do you offer to offer? What gift do you have that the world needs?

Time and time again, the ones close to us know what we do and are capable of. But, we are sitting on the sidelines thinking that they will tell the world. Isn’t that what referrals are all about, right?

Well, sometimes yes and sometimes no. Sometimes they do but sometimes they also keep us complacent in staying at the level we are at. Because of our fear, we won’t tell the world what we have to offer. We think that our talent will fall into the right hand and we will get our big break.

Well Beautiful, that may happen but how long are we willing to wait? We can’t pray to God for growth and expansion if we are not willing to also do our part. I’m not saying take control and do it yourself but I’m saying promote what you do. Tell the world what God has gifted within you! Toot your own horn!

How else will we know what you do? Share what you do and you never know who may have been looking for what you can provide. Toot, toot!

Committed to the trial

Last year, I decided that I would pass on the vision board and focus on one word. As I prepared for 2019, I asked God for my word. I received “surrender” and “expect the unexpected”. Never would have I imagined that those words would be my journey to find out if I was really committed to God which has me asking…

AM I COMMITTED TO THE TRIAL?

What God has revealed to me is am I willing to stand no matter what? Am I willing to keep fighting when all things are breaking loose? Am I willing to keep pushing my purpose of reminding women of their beautiful when I question my own “beautiful”? Am I willing to commit to Him and His will for my life when I’m going through the trial?

And my answer is YES! Don’t get me wrong, it may be a hesitant yes because I have wondered why me. But then I’m reminded of the webinar that I presented that reminded my guests why not me.

You see, when God created us, He gave us a purpose and we will not be content doing anything else until we fulfill the assignment. Therefore, be willing to stand in the trial by:

  • Spending a moment examining any areas of your life where you’ve experienced a persistent struggle. Ask yourself have I leaned on God for the strength to endure
  • Asking yourself are you willing to embrace the need for change
  • Ask yourself how can you invite more ways to be open to the surrender
  • Ask yourself what lies beneath any unwillingness to stand
  • Acknowledging that things may not always work out as planned and letting that go

Beautiful, don’t you see.  It’s the very thing that you consistently struggle with that will be the thing that God uses to bless others.  We just have to lean into him for the strength to be committed to the end.  So, my question to you is are you committed to the trial?

The patience to wait

Hi, Beautiful!

Do you have the patience to wait?

Too many times, we are often faced with the desire to control and figure out the situation ourselves rather than letting go and letting God handle it.  Trust me, I totally know how hard it is to let go.  I know that our lack of patience and maybe despair keep us from totally trusting because we want the answer / solution right here and right now.  However, God doesn’t work like that! He works in His perfect timing.  So, how do we find the patience to wait?

We find the patience to wait by:

  • Surrendering the need to control by focusing on God and His love for us.
  • Understanding that we are going to go through trials and obstacles in order to grow our character.
  • Praying for direction and the actions to move.
  • Being intentional in our lives by believing.
  • Starting to live with every step that we take.
  • Understanding that the trial is how we learn who we are.
  • Most importantly, understanding that the trial is how we learn who God is.

Sometimes, we can’t help but feel discouraged when we are facing a trial.  And I’m learning that discouragement is there to just show me that I’m on the right track. When the obstacles get in the way, that means we are doing something right.  Therefore, when those moments of discouragement come, pray and ask God for the strength to keep on wait and stand.  Ask him for the strength to wait until he says move.

So, what’s your plan?  When is the last time that you consulted God for THE plan?  When is the last time that you stopped trying to figure it out on your own and asked God to order your steps?  Don’t forget that he is the creator and has laid out the steps for you.  It’s just a matter of us letting go of the need to control and being still to listen for the directions.  So beautiful butterfly, how will you create the patience to wait?
